2. How Do You Do - Mayer Hawthorne  I love soul music and it makes me happy to see newer artists such as Fitz & the Tantrums and Jamie Lidell still making soul music today. Leading this soul revolution seems to be 32 year old Mayer Hawthorne. I was a huge fan of Hawthorne’s first release A Strange Arrangement so I was very excited to hear how his sophomore album would sound and it...

Top 10 Albums of 2011: Part 4 (#4-3)
4. Metals - Feist Broken Social Scene member Feist has had a quite solo career with a huge single “1234”. Its been 4 years since The Reminder but she has returned with Metals. Metals is not as pop sounding but it is full of soul. The album seems to surround a theme of nature and is inspired by a Charles C. Mann novel. No song in my opinion stands out as a single but i believe this...

Chazwick Bundicks sound is relaxed, full of synth and his mostly falcetto voice carries across the tracks. The first single New Beat is a good introduction into his style with a fucky bass and a wobbly synth lead....
